Environment Week (Special Assembly)
A special assembly was organized by the students of class VI A on July 12, 2010 on the theme ‘Save Your Environment’.
The students gave a talk on the degradation of our environment. There was a special talk on the extinction of the tiger and how to save it. The students also conducted a quiz on environment. There was also a skit presented by the students of the Face Club on how to keep our environs clean.
To celebrate the Environment Week all the display boards were decorated by the students of various classes to make everybody aware about our environment and keep it clean.
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY
A special assembly to welcome the students was conducted in the premises of the school by the students of class XII on 01 July’10.
The students welcomed all back to school after the vacations. They presented a talk and a poem highlighting the qualities of a winner. The students also sung a song exhorting everyone to herald the coming days enthusiastically.
The Principal of the school Dr.(Mrs) Anjali Sethi also welcomed all after the vacations. She said that all must look forward to the coming days and be ready to face the challenges with a positive outlook.
Summer Vacations
A special assembly to herald the summer break was conducted on 24 May ’10. The students presented a skit, a song and a talk highlighting the fact that the holidays should be spent in a effective and productive way. The students gave out the message of striking a fair balance between work and play to make the holidays fruitful.
The principal of the school, Dr. Mrs. Anjali Sethi, guided the students not to while away their time. Rather they should engage themselves in productive activities, enhancing their hobbies and helping parents at home.
Etiquettes and Manners
The morning assembly on 26 April ’10 was conducted by VII B. The theme of the assembly was ‘Etiquettes and Manners’. After the prayer , an inspirational and enlightening thought and sensitizing science thought was presented. There was a thought provoking talk on manners and etiquettes. A hilarious poem titled ‘Email Etiquettes’ was enjoyed by all. The students enacted a skit ‘Importance of Education’ which left an impact on all. In the end, the headmistress of the school, Ms Archana Narain inspired the children to be well mannered and also talked about the importance of laughter in life.
Earth Day
On 22 April ’10 , a special assembly was conducted by the students of VII B on the theme - Earth Day. In the assembly students gave an enlightening talk on the Earth Day followed by a song. Last but not the least the Face Club presented an eye opening skit based on the theme - “Stop Global Warming”. In the skit students presented the effects of Global Warming and they also told that it is high time that we became aware about earth’s declining state. We must do something to save our mother Earth.
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY (Computer Science)Special AssemblySpecial assembly on Baisakhi (13 April 2010)
A very informative and interesting assembly was conducted by class X B on 19 April 2010. The activities were planned to observe the Computer Science week. The students presented a poem and a talk on computers. They also conducted a quiz on IT for all. The students, through their activities, encouraged everybody to become tech savvy.
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY (Mathematics)
As a part of the Mathematics Week being observed in the school, a special assembly was conducted by the students of class X C on 15.04.10. The students also spoke on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti.
A talk and a poem on the usage and importance of Maths ensued. The students also presented a skit on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar giving a glimpse of his times and life. The Principal of the school, Dr.(Mrs.) Anjali Sethi urged the students to walk on the path shown by great leaders. She also exhorted them to go through the biographies of great men and leaders.
ITLeens (Junior wing) of ITL Public school, Dwarka exhibited a scintillating performance on 13 April on the occasion of Baisakhi. The assembly started with a short speech by Ms. Shweta Malik.
The children in colourful attires sang the rhythmic baisakhi song and it was followed by the vibrant bhangra which filled the air with joy and happiness.
The Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Archana Narain, gave a speech on the significance of the festival and did few activities where students participated actively. The assembly ended with the National Anthem.
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY
A special assembly was conducted by class XII students in the school premises on April 5, 2010.
The assembly began with the chanting of Shlokas. Giving the analogy of a river, the students stressed on the fact that moving on is important in life. An inspirational song ‘Dekhta hai aasman……..’ was presented by the choir.
The Principal of the school, Dr(Mrs) Anjali Sethi and the Headmistress , Mrs Archna Narain welcomed the children to the new session. They exhorted them to maintain their focus and keep their spirits high.
Special Assembly
A Special Assembly was conducted by class IX students on 14 January 2010 in the premises of the school as a part of the Cultural Heritage week observation from 11 to 15 January 2010.
The children apprised the gathering on the importance of Makar Sankranti and the different ways in which it is celebrated all over the country. A talk on solar eclipse also ensued which highlighted its why and wherefores. On occasion of Army Day, the children also read poems affirming their love and service to the country.
Special Assembly
A special assembly was conducted in the premises of ITL Public School on Christmas eve, 24 December ’09.
The assembly began with the lil ITLeens singing Christmas carols. The episode of Jesus’s birth was also dramatized. The Student Council of the school sensitized the audience about global warming through a beautiful song sung to the accompaniment of guitar.
Padmashree, Dr. R.S. Logani congratulated the children on the eve and appreciated their sense of awareness regarding their environment. The Principal of the school Dr. Mrs. Anjali Sethi commended the efforts of the children. Extending her full support to the Student Council she said that she would be always there to guide and support them in their their future endeavours.
A Special Assembly on Road Safety and 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks was conducted by students of class XI in the school on 26 November 2009.
With the commencement of Road Safety week in the school, the students were made aware of various traffic rules and regulations. The students presented a quiz and a skit on the same. Commemorating the 26/11 attacks on Mumbai last year, the students of the school maintained two minutes silence in honour of those who lost their lives. The ill effects of terrorism and its aftermath were also focused on.
Health and Hygiene
A special assembly on the importance of health and hygiene was conducted by the students of class IX on 3 December 2009.
The students expounded on the importance of good health and proper hygiene. The motto was that instead of being sick and tired we should be sick of being sick and tired. A self composed song and an enthralling skit were presented for the same. The attraction of the day, was a quiz – ‘Hygiene ka Samna.’
This special assembly was conducted as a part of the Health and Hygiene week being observed in the school.
Love Thy Nature
In order to celebrate the joy of monsoon & season of rain, ITL went into a festive spirit by organizing a special assembly on ‘Love Thy Nature’, ‘Van mahotsava’ on July 16, 2009.
To inculcate these thoughts in action & not just in words students of each class planted saplings in the school campus. The students were so motivated for the cause that some of them had even got their own saplings to the school.
Keeping in mind the concern for environment the movie ‘An inconvenient truth’ was also shown to the students of class IX. The students found the movie very informative and interesting. They later submitted a synopsis of their view on the movie.
