CBSE Cluster XII Basketball Tournament for girls (under 19) 2009

 

 

CBSE cluster XII Basketball Tournament for girls (under 19) 2009 that was held in the premises of ITL  Public School, Sector 9, from October 22 ’09  onwards  came to an end on  October26, 2009. In all, 54 schools participated from Delhi in this tournament. Montfort, Ashok Vihar came out with flying colours and was declared the winner. The second place on the victory pedestal was occupied by Venkateshwara International School Sector 10, Dwarka. Bal Bharti, Pitampura stood III while Apeejay, Sheikh Sarai was IV. In the valedictory ceremony, the certificates and trophies were given to the winners by the Principal of the school Dr (Mrs.) Anjali Sethi. The ceremony came to a close with the Beating Retreat in the presence of Headmistress Mrs. Archana Narain and  Mr Vivek Diwakar, the observer of the tournament.

Vanshika Seth of II D kept the flag flying high by obtaining second position in CBSE Skating Championship (North Zone) held on 3rd - 4th October'09.

International Indo –Thai Table Soccer Championship

 ITLeens once again lead the march to glory and proved their mettle in International Indo-Thai Table Soccer Championship held on 29th & 30th September'09. Shobhit Gupta of VI B and Ankit Luthra of class IX have bagged gold medal in Table Soccer.

Kudos to our under 14 swimming team. Abhavaya Jha & Mehak Malhotra of class IIIrd, Era Shah of class IVth and Arpit Kaur of class VIIth have won Gold Medal in Medley Relay category in CBSE north zone swimming competition. They are selected for nationals. Abhavaya Jha of class III A has also won IIIrd prize in 100 metre butterfly swimming competition.

Basket Ball Inter School Tournament

12 Basketball players of ITL Public School took part in the 1^st Bal Bharti Inter School Basketball Tournament (class 11 and below) which was conducted in BAL BHARTI SCHOOL, DWARKA, SEC – 12 from 30/07/09 to 01/08/09. Many teams from other school of Dwarka took part in this tournament. ITL basketball players played very well in all the matches and got silver medal and a trophy. The students who represented the ITL Basketball team are: Vatsal (XI B), Achal Vohra (X B), Resheek Routela (X A), Aakash Solanki (X A), Shubham (X C), Prithvi (X A), Utsav (X C), Sanchit Bhutani (IX C), Sachin Chadila (IX B), Avneet (IX A), Suhail (IX C), Yuvraj (IX C).

Indian Table Soccer Team Returns

15 member Indian Table Soccer players including officials, took part in the VIFA ASIA Table Soccer Championship which was conducted in KUALA LUMPUR (MALAYSIA) from 17^th – 20^th July’09. Players from countries like Hong – Kong, India, Iran, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Mangolia, Singapore, China, Malyasia took part in the Asian Championship. The Indian players had gained a rich experience. They competed with top players of the world. Their performance was very well appreciated by President of table soccer federation of India Mr. Balwinder Singh Hohal. 15 members team of India included Shobhit Gupta & Ankit Luthra from ITL Public School along with the coach Mr. Vijender Singh.

  Outstanding Results in National Table Soccer

 ITL Public School, Dwarka proved its excellence in sports by winning accolades for the school in national table soccer championship organized by the Table Soccer Federation of India held from 7th – 9th August’09 in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh with more than 500 participants. From 14 states all over the country, Shobhit Gupta and Ankit Luthra of ITL Public School, Dwarka, Delhi represented Delhi Team. Shobihit Gupta won gold medal in 10 – 12 years category and Ankit Luthra won silver medal in 14 – 16 years category.
